For dibilitating migraines, I did report to the ER when I was able to drive. If I could not drive, then my spouse would drive me. Depending on my location at the time of attack determined which ER to be utilized.
If the ER stated they could not help you, I suggest using a different ER. Please don't give up. If you are suffering from migraines, you must show proof to the MTF, PCM, MEB, and IPEB with well documented medical evidence.
It doesn't matter if you are seeing a neurologist. If you need ER assistance for a dibilitating migraine attack, them you have a right to be seen.
Sometimes it could take days or weeks to see a neurologist unless he/she has cancellations on the day of your attack.
Hang in there and get the care you deserve!
