Welcome, good to have you here!
My take is that it really doesn't matter much, except that if they had questions or doubts, they were within the scope of their power to ask for additional information. Not sure why they would do that, but so long as the outcome was consistent, it does not seem like there is much to worry about (though, with all ROM studies, I always am concerned if they have accurately captured Deluca criteria, i.e., impact of pain, flares, ROM on repetition, limitations on endurance, coordination, etc.).
