Scenario: Reservist on 30+ day ADT orders, fractured elbow, aggravated old SC rotator cuff and messed up neck, returns to unit, 3 months later fails PT test, 3 more months goes to neurosurgeon due to pain and muscle spasms, facing spine surgery (metal supports in neck), transfers to Retired Reserve and unit deploys. Veteran (20+ yrs with multiple DD 214's) comes to me 4 years later, was never told about VA, now 80% SC.

  2. Shouldn't he have been medically retired?

by on 1 Week Ago at 04:03 PM
I am trying to assist a Reservist, 18+ years, VA rated 90% largely due to injuries on his last deployment, was extended on AD for surgery to fix a broken shoulder socket, but released with out counseling or boarding, in WI, assigned to a unit in NJ for activation, NJ unit U'ing him out, I believe he should have been kept on duty and medically retired.

Is my thinking correct? Who can I get him in touch with to accomplish this?

    Thank you for your service!!

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what to do while on TRDL to help ensure PDRL at same rating after reeval. Somewhat concerned about Major Depressive Disorder diagnosis by MEB even though VA (multiple docs) had ...

Last week my Case manager mentioned MEB and I have never consider going that route but with both injuries I feel it is going that direction anyway. I received a letter from my Guard unit saying they are going to send me through a state ...
