well last week i went in to sign my paper work for my IPEB. my unit is so dumb i asked for more time to prepare my case, copies of the NARRSUM and an IMA and they had no idea what an IMA was. so i gave them copies of the regs. that jason had sent me. man, you had to see their heads spin. anyway, i have 7 days to gather info. and for them to provide me what i need. i called my unit on friday to let them know i was still having issues being on the INCAP program and not being able to make med. appts., due to no TRICARE. needless to say they never returned my call. this stuff never ends.

i will try and keep this blog updated as i'm going through the process.

    Tucci - so you never received a copy of the MEB NARSUM before it went to the IPEB? I thought you have a chance to review it prior to it going to the IPEB? I had my Part 1 & Part 2 MRB physical, but now have to wait for a Psych eval before the NARSUM is completed. My understanding was that I would have a chance to review/rebut the NARSUM before it was submitted to the IPEB at Fort Sam.

    Your PEBLO is supposed to allow you 3 ? work days to prepare a letter of exception to anything in the narrative summaries. This process cuts down on nuber of appeals and expedites the process beside allowing your input.
