How long does this stage usually take? What do yall think I will be rated on past experience?

My package went through at the PEB very quickly. I was told by me PEBLO that they are reviewing cases within two days after receipt... So, I guess that is somewhat good news.

dang you got lucky, i have been waiting almost 6 months now and havent heard anything, my PEBLO doesnt seem to know anything either. Im pretty frustrated with the whole situation. Im 2 months past my EAOS already

VA is pending decision/prepare for notification: 22 Mar 12

I will have to look at my paper work, but I think forward flexion was 120. One was 15 right and 60 left... I hope that helps, I told them it wasn't my range of motion it's the neuromas that have attached to cadaver tissue in my shoulder.

As far as timeline I stayed on their ass from point A till now, but the medical boards at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii are very good at what they do.

What did they give you? Retirement or separation? What was wrong with your shoulder? I had a total of 9 claims, so I think it was because I had so few that they were able to get a decision quickly, or that is what I was told by my PEBLO.

That's very quick. I'm going through a medical board out here in Hawaii as well. My case was sent to the PEB 27 Dec 2011. I was found Unfit sometime in Jan '12 and am still waiting for the VA to complete my ratings. Ebenefits says Pending Decision Approval (has been like this for two weeks now) I had 14 claimed conditions 4 of which were unfitting. I am very eager to find out what the VA comes up with... I have a feeling this may go to Formal Board. If so, bring it on! I won't stop until I get a FAIR rating. I agree with your comment about the people at NHC Hawaii being great at what they do and very helpful.

My board is being handled at NHCH too. Faith is taking care of my package. EBenefit has been on Pending Decision Approval since 14 March 2012. I'm also on LIMDU orders at the clinic so I have been able to find out what's going on with my package which is great for me. They don't mind you calling them or going in person asking for the status.

Just separation, im getting 30% from the VA and Severeance pay from the Navy(they quoted me at 20%) I had separated my shoulder and broke my collar bone, then they did surgery and removed half an inch of my collar bone and fixed some of the ligaments i tore. Then they did a Scope of my shoulder. It has never healed, i did month and months of Physical Therapy too and had those Lidocaine/Kenalog injections. And dand 9 claims? i think i only had 3

Well out of the nine claims, about 4 are for my shoulder. The rest are just something the DAV told me to claim... Hope it helps though. What did the VA say about your shoulder? Did they rate your chronic pain/narcotics? How did they come to a 30% rating? What was your ROM? I have had three shoulder surgeries along with all the injections, pain management stuff, and physical therapy. Thanks man.

Faith is my MEBLO and Chief Jeffers is PEBLO they are very helping and understanding. Has your package left the Rhode Island VA office and went to the Cleveland office for a procedural or regulatory review? I hope I get something very soon, do they have you working as an HM at the clinic or med boards? I am a former HM/PMT, I ventured over to the "O" or the aka "dark side... I don't know if it was a good decision or not. Thanks

My package was sent to the Cleveland RO for Procedural or Regulatory Review on 14 March 2012, it was completed on 29 March 2012. It's back at Providence Pending Decision Approval. Faith says that my package will be longer than usual, complex disabilities from combat and a HMMVW rollover to where I was ejected and hit the highway median. I am currently working at the clinic headquarters for MEPRS/DMHRSi systems. They couldn't really put me in any other places due to too many missed work days from appointments and SIQ.

They didnt really say much, they said its a permanant injury and that it doesnt really have the probability of getting better. I had 2 surgeries. I am off narcotics right now, but its really hard to manage the pain on a daily basis without them. i get constant pain and tingling in my arm and hand. I cant even workout anymore. I was going to be a firefighter when i got out of the Navy but thats not gonna happen now. They said the 30% was from the chronic pain and limited ROM. My ROM was pretty low, i cant even lift my arm above shoulder level honestly. I also had all the injections and pain management, and even physical therapy. It sucks man, they made my shoulder injury worse and took my dream of being a firefighter away from me.

I agree, I believe my surgeries are the cause to my problems. I was able to function, workout, and w/o chronic pain; now I'm in the same boat, I can't lift anything over 10 lbs over the level of my shoulder or about 100-110 degrees. That sucks about the whole firefighter thing...

Update:

A little backgroung... I have a proposed rating from the VA and it has been sent back to the PEB in D.C., well I called the VA today and poke with a very nice man and he said I can not tell you your rating, but he then asked me if I knew Spanish...? I said kninda, and he said that it's "ochocinco, but without the cinco." I said, like the football player, Chad; and he said, YES!

He said that this is your overall VA percentage: 80%, but as of now I do not know what the DOD has rated me until my 199 comes back. Sounds pretty good though!

Are you happy with that rating? Man atleast you know your rating. It's killing me that I dont know. I started TAPS today at Hickam and spoke to Pamela from DAV. She told me to bring all my records to include C&P exam. She has a record of average 60% when she deals with the VA. That percentage is just for regular retirees with just regular claims and not really disabilities that need PEB.

I am very happy with the rating, I figured it would be less. I remember my wife went to see a lady at the DAV in Hawaii and she really helped her out. Are you going to try and get a VA reconsideration? Man, it was pissing me off that the VA reps have all the information on their computer screens and cannot give it out. I mean, I understand that its for all for legal purposes but, damn it sucks. I'm just guy understood, he was a medically retired chief so I guess he understands the situation... You should find out something very soon.

Chief Jeffers just called a few minutes ago, he set up a meeting in the morning for us to review the findings. I'll update tomorrow after the meeting. For sure though, I am going to Hickam MFSC to see Pam and see if she agrees with the ratings they give me. I wont sign till she sees my package.
