Seriously! How long does it take to cut orders, I have been waiting almost 3 weeks and havent gotten anything back yet and I set my final out as 15 June! How long does it usually take to get an answer back from whoever cuts the orders! Any info would be appreciated.

My PEBLO cant give me any info, is there anyone I can call to get answers, I really dont want to bother my PEBLO anymore.

Are you Navy? Enlisted?

Maybe going to Transition and talk to them?

It was explained to me by NAVPERSCOM that enlisted disability separation order are taking about 4 weeks and officer orders are taking about 2 weeks. Once again we are at the mercy of the PEB because they send a message to your Service Headquarters bundled with other accepted PEB packages and then they cut orders once they receive that. So you should be getting orders here very soon...

I'm Air Force enlisted. I am happy with my findings, even though I am at 18 years, I will take my findings and run. Now I am just looking to get the hell outta here! lol

How do I get in contact with transitions. I dont know about other services, but in the Air Force the PEBLO officers pretty much tell you to sit and stay until your told to move.

How many leave days do you have? When I signed my findings last week I was told about 4-7 days for orders because I didn't want the permissive try, terminal leave- just to outprocess...she said it should speed things up- but we shall see

With you being AF I have no idea... I wonder if Klam has any idea...

Im so confused right now.. I never had a chance to pick a date yet... Signed paperwork last week and heard nothing. hrm

what happened was after i got my results, I signed papers saying I accepted them, then she asked how many days of leave I had and if I wanted the latest or earliest date. I said i want the latest because I am relocating to California. She said on a medical retirement you have to retire 3 days prior to the end of the month, so i chose my retirement date as 28 July. So we counted back 23 days of terminal leave and then the 20 days of permissive and that puts me at 15 June (next week)! she said at the time it shouldnt be a problem and to go ahead and submit my leave forms. So i did, now here i sit, 9 days away from having to final out and I havent even began my outprocessing.
She said she spoke with AF disabilities and the answer is they are overwhelmed with IDES results and will try to get my orders out this week. So Friday is 3 weeks waiting on these jokers and in the mean time my civilian job in Sacramento is looking for answers, my wife's job wants to know when she quits, and I cant get TMO to answer any of my questions. So here I sit.
At least i am getting paid to do nothing at work!

Wish I did, unfortunately I am still awaiting my "OFFICIAL" PEB decision to come to my PEBLO so I'm still sitting on my hands at work doing 4 hr limdu - and above all awaiting my Demotion Authority to rule on my case - even in light of my "new evidence" showing the USAF has found me unfit for duty, my CC is more than likely going to press the demotion package thru to the DA. With that said, my Shirt and Chief both told me that although they 100% agree with me, they don't see my commander pulling the package with this new evidence, and the DA will probably not refute a fellow 0-6's decision. So I should be prepared to be an A1C again sometime next week or the week following. I just laughed and said you know that's fine, I'll appeal the decision as is my right but that at some point they need to look at their decisions and realize that when they make a bad one, the way to resolve that is not to ignore it and continue to make bad decisions, just because you dont want to look like you made one in the first place. Cause, either way you will pay me back pay for my SSgt Stripe you took away a year ago, and the remaining time right now I've lost my SrA Stripe if that so happens to occur. Either way, it's now just a joke, that I could be found unfit for duty and a Col or General would agree with one another that well hell yeah he should be demoted for not being fit......Oxymoron much!!

YEAH I'm still Pissed at the USAF's handling of my case!

dnaecho,

With your 23 days is that leave you had saved and the 20 days of permissive is that the maximum allowed for house hunting? I'm curious cause I've got 7 days of leave, (I was forced to use over 33 days of leave for medical appointments and to miss days of work that my medical condition was unexcused through my PCM or CoC). I guess my question would be if I have 7 days of leave would that then become my terminal leave?

Thanks! and Congrats!,

I only have a few days of leave- I opted out of the permissive house-hunting/job searching because it has to be taken BEFORE your final out and I needed my final out the end of this month. So I requested only the outprocessing days and final out this month. My PEBLO told me by Friday since I don't have hardly any leave or want the permissive days...so we shall see...Your leave days would be considered terminal leave- according to my PEBLO. 20 days is the max for house hunting and job searching- and has to be commander approved- 10 days house hunting/10 days job searching. Hope that helps!

Unfortunately, what you propose here makes sense. Sometimes, the terms military and common sense don't work well toegther in the same sentence.;) It takes a good leader (not just the "title") to live up to their mistakes and poor decisions...unfortunately it sounds like that might be lacking in your command.

I think the best defense against people like you mention is:

1. Rise above, don't let them put you down. Obviously, you are still AD and must abide by Customs/Court. and the UCMJ, so keeping on top and one step ahead can present a challenge.
2. Keep your nose clean and step up once in a while (when least expected) and do something that isn't expected of you. People notice this, and it makes it harder for your boss to follow through with negative admin actions when other perceive you as a sharp troop.
3. Most important, at the point you're at, is to look after #1. You are in self protect mode now and that is all you should be putting your energy into...trying to do everything you can to make sure you are protected, you know the regs/recourse available and making the job of conducting negative actions against you as difficult as possible. Of course, you have to balance that out with getting by everyday and dealing with your conditions.

I hope all goes well for you, hang in there.

Of course - I am at this point I don't do anything different than I've been doing since day one, same broken record story to anyone that asks, and consistently notify my Supervisor, Shirt, Chief, ADC, and support network of the current goings on. Everyone is up to speed on my situation, they all agree the CC is wrong, but that when they've fought they've lost and again, they all agree with me but can't go against the O-6 as he's done nothing "illegal" just not common sensed decisions. We all agree this is "wrong" but it is allowable within the Regs' and that I should fight the reg's once I'm out as long as my VA ratings and DOD ratings don't change.

Thanks usafaviator!

You're GD correct on that one...

the 23 days is the amount of leave I have, then there's the 20 days of permissive leave. so its a total of 43 days. This has been the longest most physically and mentally exhausting thing my wife and i have been through. It is the true definition of hurry up and wait.......they give you a little and then your at a stand still FOREVER. So my advice to any of you is to be patient, be calm, and be prepared to wait. It SUX!!!!!!!

Waiting is not a problem, trained by definition in the USAF to be ready for that. What I am impatient about, is that my CC is still deciding to press with my failure to meet fitness standards demotion when I've been found UNFIT. To the point he's not willing to even allow me to add it to the package that's not gone up to the demotion authority yet. THAT is a DICK move and all my leadership agrees with me cept the CC and he is non-responsive to any thought of reason.

KLAM!

Maybe requesting UCMJ? They would have to let you add that into it, then they would have to drop the whole issue...

? You mean request that my my CC initiate a UCMJ punishment? Against me? Or that I go to the JAG and request my commander be fired for doing undue harm to me even further than he has?
