Default Refered to IPEB finally

After months of headaches with the MEB process, my package has finally been mailed off to the IPEB. My PEBLO says my case could be complicated due to the following... My doctors (all three) agree that my condition is EPTS, however they mention things like "some service aggrevation" in the NARSUM and have marked "Permanently Aggravated by Service" on the AF IMT 618. Also, in the NARSUM it states that I was never treated or diagnosed with any mental health issues prior to comming into the Air Force. I guess it really depends on how the board interprets my file. I did send a letter of my own describing the onset of my complications and my limitations. My Commander has recommended medical separation. I am being boarded for

Axis I: 300.3 Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Axis II: 301.4 Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder
Military Impairment: Moderate
LOD: Yes
Social/Industrial Impairment: Definite

Has anyone on this forum had a case where the board saw through the EPTS and rated someone based on the service aggravation? I'm pretty concerned about this. My problems started effecting my work and social life last year while I was in the military, but Im affraid they will just blame everything on the EPTS and give me nothing. Anyone else have a similiar case?

Thanks for listening

It happens all the time. However, that does not mean it will happen in your case. It will really depend on the evidence in your case. But, to answer your question, it is a common occurrence to have an EPTS condition found to be service aggravated.

Best of luck, I hope all goes well!
