Default failed spine surgery syndrome?

14 year active Navy E-6 - Had c6-c7 cervical fusion in June 2006. Had pain ever since and went to the doc and found out my neck isn't fusing. Signed med board and diagnosis on front of board are 733.82 nonunion of fracture, 723.1 cervicalgia, 721.1 cervical spondylosis with myelopathy, 722.4 degeneration of cervical intervertebral disc, 996.52 failed spine surgery syndrome. In the board Doc said he could do surgery but risk outway the benefits and doesn't reccommend it.

Is there a chart that I can tell if I will get discharged and/or disability. How much rating? Thanks for any help!

In Conditions and Ratings Jason has the ratings stickied at the top of the forum.

He's also working on transferring all that information to the Library.

A good site to use is here because they have diagrams.

I hope this helps, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the info, but I can't find a thing pertaining to the codes 733.82, 723.1, 721.1, 722.4, and 996.52. Are these codes compatable with the 4 digit codes in the schedule of ratings?

Those codes are not the same. Those are the International Classification of Diseases codes. The website with more info is here: WHO | International Classification of Diseases (ICD) .

You likely will be rated on the general ratings for spinal conditions , found under codes 5235 through 5242. What is your range of motion? Do you have other sypmtoms? If so, there may be additional ratings.

My symptoms are Just constant neck pain and occasional numbness in my arm since the surgery in Jun 2006.
I did the range and motion test a few days ago, but didn't look to see what the numbers were before they sent it off. I can turn my head pretty good in all directions. Doc just said that my neck wasn't fused and probably won't since it hasn't yet.

If they entered the results in their system, you can go to medical records at just about any MTF and get a print out. They call it your electronic record here.
