Default MEB vs. ETS

I am supposed to be starting terminal leave in February but changing conditions may mean an MEB for me. I have a permanent profile and had an MMRB a year ago. I have since gotten worse and went to see my PA. He just added continuation pages. I am now being moved to another unit and they say that my PA cannot add continuation pages and they are invalid. He did that too keep me from having to go through a MEB when I am almost out anyway. This February. Do I have anything to lose by going through a MEB?

TPB,

Welcome! You have nothing to lose with an MEB from a benefits point of view. If you are fit, then you will process normally. If you are unfit, and not retirement eligible, you may end up with severance pay or a medical retirement. I don't see a downside.

Do I just go and request that they start the MEB if they are not going to honor what I have. Can they say no to an MEB?
