Default Going home?

Well i am currently in AIT at fort Gordon GA. I am part of the ARNG.I recently started the MEB process last week with the MEB doctor. Im due to graduate in a week and a half and go home. I asked the PEBLO about going home while the MEB process was going on. Due to the fact that i live an hour and a half away from Fort Gordon i figured i could go home after gradution and just come back for whatever appt they would have for me. My PEBLO said it would be ok then the supervisor there said i would have to stay on base until my board ( Which i was told could take up to six months ) was complete. My question is whats my next step or who do i need to talk to about going home after graduation?

Get something in writing saying you can or can't. If you do have to stay will you get TDY pay? if you really are only an hour away it shouldn't be any kind of problem what so ever. I would speak to your PEBLO and get something in writing for what you would like to do. good luck dru

i would fill out a leave form @ the least. the usual "dumb private" can work @ times but i WOULD not risk it when going through an MEB. just to let you know i filled 1 out every time i took it in "light duty" status. hope this helps!
