Jason,
Yes, it's coming from PEBLO. It's really nothing new but to have a doctor to have me take the test and write the NMA will take 3 weeks. The Chief from PEBLO told me that would take to long and that I should go ahead and ask for the formal. I've heard of others service members turning in what they have now and waiting unitk the rebut comes back for the formal. Thanks.
Semper Fi,
Richard

This seems seriously wrong. You don't get to the formal without having the informal. And they need the NMA and an accurate NARSUM to do IPEB. It appears something is not right here.

Also, the it "would take to long" comment has me wondering, what would take too long? It sounds to me like they are trying to push you through the system. I have serious concerns with how they are processing your case. At a minimum, it appears they are trying to do something that will likely "waste" your opportunity for a good result from IPEB. Yes, if you have a good case anyway, I would say the FPEB should cure the defect. But it is always in your best interest to have a "free look" at IPEB. Not having that robs you of a valuable opportunity to know how the FPEB will likely view your other conditions.

Best of luck.

I think it sounds weird to, I am active duty Navy and awaiting results from a IPEB myself. The NMA is not generated or has nothing to do with any of your doctors or MTF. It is only a means of getting information from your command and your CO's comments and opinion on your situation and how it has affected your current rate/MOS. The IPEB will not get your package without the NMA from your command. This is how I understand it from my PEBLO. Are you sure that what you heard back from was not a MEB instead of a IPEB or FPEB?

X,
You should take a special hearing test for it. The same test also tested for Vertigo, which I also tested Positive. I was rated 20% for it. Hope that helps. This site is GREAT in our time of need.
Semper Fi,
Richard
