New to Forum 18+ years AD facing MRB/MEB/PEB process

I am an AGR officer with just over 18 years AD (13 RA and currently 5+ AGR T32) I have received a permanent P3 profile and have been referred to an MEB (by my neuroligist at WRAMC). I am curious as to how my 18 + years will come into play if I am medically retired, particularly if I were to receive a disabilty rating less than the 20 year 50%. Any advice or help out there?

If you have less than 20 years, you must reach 30% to be medically retired. However, if you do reach a minimum of 30%, you will be paid the higher of your rating or 2.5% times years of service (active federal).

Thanks for the response, so what happens if I am less than the 30%

If rated at between 0 and 20%, you will receive severance pay. That is caculated as 2 times years of service times base pay.
