    I have similar set up. Final Pay pre-1980. But remember you can only get a max of 75%. So you will get 75% of the pay chart for your rank and YOS.

    That letter and several other formats that can be download do show your current award. I was able to see that long before I got the final award letter from the VA in the US mail.     easy it was all done on the day I went to the retirement office, and I went a week before my retirement started. I got the Tricare ID cards for my kids online at milconnect. My daughter got a ID card at another base near her collage. So no problems if done in person with orders in hand.

    Not all just the records summaries... Doctors notes that I had been given by the CBWTU, 80 pages is not that much my file is about 7 inches thick.. and only about the final treatments and dispositions none of the surgery or rehab notes. Basically the final stuff that went to the MEB/PEB.

I basically cut and pasted each condition from the DA 199 into the DD 2860, then attached all of the VA paperwork, the DA 199 and Med Board paperwork and sent it in.
