Discuss "spam"
user name jimei has posted 17 spam ads. i tried to delete the threads and ban this user. just thought i'd give you guys the heads up....

Rob, I saw that crap when I signed on here this afternoon. Somehow he got signed up as a guest so he couldn't be banned, and you couldn't delete all his threads at once because he didn't have an account. He's off the grid now, though.  |

Well, I don't know if this is a coincidence or a result of our growing popularity, but the last three days have seen several spammers registering and posting. I apologize for the distraction, we try our best to get rid of these clowns when they show up (no offense to clowns  ) Anyway, a heads up to moderators, if I don't get them first, please kill their posts and ban them!

Jason, I saw someone reported one of the posts either late last night or early this morning. Sorry I missed it, banning is my favorite past time. I start back to work tonight, so over the weekend if there are any midnight spam commandos out there they won't have the chance to get far! |

Any reason why? I have been deleting the accounts, and sometimes blocking IP addresses. Is there a better technique?
