let me know what they come up with for you, i have the same condition in both knees and was med boarded out of the navy for it and now i'm getting the same from the army
I am going through for the same thing. May 1st was issued P3 I think I have my last QTC physical on 22 June. Ive done a bunch of other appts for them already and everything has been covered so far. I hope NARSUM is next. Please let me know how yours goes.
I will keep you all informed, however, your case may be faster than mine as I just found out that I have to have emergency surgery. This wasn't even one of my listed conditions. But due to Medical TDY, I wasn't able to review or sign a NARSUM yet, even if it is ready. I'll update my status!
wow i have been dealing with that for years and they gave me a P2, with three deployments and being medboarded for ptsd, good luck
Your Timeline is almost exactly like mine. I hope that we both go fast. Only thing is the Navy submitted my PEB for 21 items including 3 knee surgeries, Crohn's Disease, Testicular surgery, PTSD, OCD, Depression, among alot of small things, so I think that mine will take alittle longer, but I would like to be home by Christmans, and if we get a good amount than all the crap they put us thru is worth it. Good luck bud. Antonio
Thanks for the luck-I will need it!! I will definitely keep you all updated, and although some of us are close to the same timeline, it is a sloooooooow process where I am, so we will see.
you can only edit it within the first 30 minutes of posting after that you need to reply. v/r Klam PS got my SAF determination in today - Permanent Retirement at 40% DoD - in the grade of SrA/E-4. Getting closer! Still fighting the demotion action currently in effect of the current rank of A1C/E-3. But hey baby steps!
Klam, Yayyyyyyyy--! Congrats as I know you are happy. Yeah you still have a fight ahead of you, but it's worth fighting. Thanks for the edit response and check back in on us from time to time!

July 27-Narsum appointment (well briefing about NARSUM-not appointment and was told that my NARSUM would be written up and ready in a MONTH). Here is the thing: The VA C&P exams were wayyyyyy off on a main unfitting condition (NOT REFERRED) that I have been seeing specialists for for over a 1 1/2 year period. How could one 2-minute assessment try to change what specialists and experts have diagnosed? I was also told that there is a new regulation, in which the VA exam is the only diagnosis that matters. I wonder what else can I do besides appeal when I do finally get my NARSUM back.
You can request to talk to the doc that is completing your NARSUM before he/she completes it. I had some similar issues as well and a discussion with my PCM did the trick. The NARSUM still ended up with a few errors, but I let the PEBLO know that it needed to be corrected before I would sign, so he called my doc while I was sitting there and the new (correct) NARSUM was there for me the next day.
Thanks, for the response!! I definitely will do just that, however, I don't know how the new reg regarding VA results being the main factor will weigh in. The difference could mean an fit condition, when it should be a unfit condition.
