Credit Unions have always been touted as being superior to other types of banks, and usually they aren't open to everyone. It's great to see that Navy Federal is opening its doors to the other branches.

Have been with NFCU for years and years -- always have great service. Much better than most banks I've used over the years.

Thank you for that tid bit of info. Its been a real pain constantly pcs'ing and not having access to a national bank. I went with Bank of America and other national banks but its been a real big hassel. It may have the same name but their branches do not communicate with each other in different states. Wells Fargo does but they lack locations on the east coast.

I am on my way down to one of their D.C. locations right now.
