I am coming off a TDRL..... and having difficulty finding straight answers.

Info: 10 yr active service/E-5/Air Force on TDRL for almost 2yrs./

PTSD , SEIZURE DISORDER

-1) My question is what does Permanment Retirement Mean if I do not have enough time for retirement?

2) Am I going to get any Medical Retirement from this "Permanement Retirement" or will I still have to pay for my Tricare.

3) There where items on my initial AF Form 356 in Cat. II and Cat III when I was put on TDRL, that are not put on my "Permanent Retirement" . AFI 36-3212 say two conflicting things in 3.28 and 3.18. Can anyone clarify?

Any one help ........

It means you are permanently retired. There isn’t a time in service requirement for permanent disability retirement.

Tricare benefits are the same between TDRL, PDRL and length of service retirement.

If you feel they didn’t address something request a formal board to address it.
