What did your timeline look when appealing to SECAF?
Thank you
Thank you
Have you heard anything back ?I hear from OAC around 8-12 months. Mine is at 3 months and hasn't moved.
I pulled mine after no movement for nearly 5 months. I made my 20 years which is what I really wanted. In this case, I’m glad the system was slow.Have you heard anything back ?
I don’t think that’s the case. You have the right to file an appeal with SAFPC for any reason you feel warranted. I understand it to be part of the IDES process. The Formal Board was a breeze and I worried over nothing. The staff is very understanding and sensitive- it’s your health, career, and livelihood they are touching so I think they realize the impact on their recommendations - as long as everything is properly documented and preponderance of evidence clearly shows what you’ve are seeking for them to agree with. I would suggest going to the board if you are trying to increase your ratings...DoD or VA, or both. You can only apply to appeal to SECAF if you go to formal board amd they say discharge/retirement?
