"Accidentally" Mislead

So...... I've signed my 199 and found out my reserve unit has not been cutting orders for my medical appointments, training or therapy appointments like they said they were doing for the past three years.
I'm 100% P&T VA. I was told they were only cutting orders for points since the VA takes the money back if DOD pays me. For this reason my unit said I would not see an LES for the orders. Just checked my 5160 and it was showing 18 years still. I've had my unit fix last year but cannot get corrections for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 which are both missing over 40 points worth of appointments. Also only have 34 points this year so far.

How can I get the two years, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, corrected before they cut my final retirement orders?! Can they medically retire me SIX days shy of my 20 years?!?! My RYE date is not until 3 Aug. Also cannot get my unit to complete their part of my COAR/COAD request.

You may want to file a Congressional.

Ughhhh... I was hoping there was some kinda policy in place protecting me. This blows. Ombudsman and Medcom simply called the unit and they told them they're on it so they said that's good enough and closed the case.

Soldiers counsel only helps with meb items like appeals.

Hrc chastises me every time I call instead of my unit; but they won't initiate a call to my unit. Dfas won't talk to me until I'm retired. The Major at ARC or whatever just laughed at me and said I'm not getting my 20 no matter what.

PEBLO is only good at saying everything will be fine. Lmao. I'm losing my mind; what's left of it anyway.

My unit is putting me on 2weeks of orders starting Monday; I wonder what happens if they try cutting my final orders while I'm on TDY orders....

If you have proof of points earned, but not credited; a Congressional should get those points adjusted.

Recommend you see the Inspector General (IG) for the command you are in. If the IG is at a distant location, you might place a call to that office and inform them of the problem.

That's what I was thinking too. I just don't want to upset my unit if they truly are working on it. I just want to know what their plan of action is and how they are working to correct the issues. They don't have me attending training on site as the unit moved to a new location a couple hours away and I can't travel alone that far. So I'm stuck texting and emailing, (they don't answer the phone when I call) for updates and just not getting the info I need or any way to follow up without bugging them non stop.

The folks that created the issues have all PCS'd so the new command is stuck with the mess.

When they cut my final orders will they use the current year as time towards my 20? I think they have to; but ONLY if I have 50 points or more at the time the final orders are cut, is that right?

Thanks for all the good feedback you guys!

I have proof of medical appointments attended. Nothing in writing that I know of from my unit assuring me that they would be cutting orders for them in lieu of drill and training.

Yup. You wrote " I'm losing my mind; what's left of it anyway" Sounds like you should self refer to BH while you are on orders.
