Talking to Mr. Al from HRC (army) he is was actually working on my packet as i called him up. (Crazy right) He stated it would be 30-60days before I get my packet. I he was super nice and helpful talking with me. He stated that once he sends me my package he sends one to DFAS to determine what I am owed. He already has my orders and my updated dd214. So hopefully I will get it sooner than the timeline given.
He finished my packet Thursday and sent it off to Fort Carson. Now we just wait for orders. I appreciate you calling and finding out all this information for us. Been a blessing. I kinda wonder if they will just send us a box with a flag, bumper stickers, pins.and certificate. Ceremony sounds awesome if I knew everyone. But I think it will feel more awkward. I'm just blessed I made it this far.

For those that are finally finished. How long did it take from the time you received your letter until you got new orders so you could get your ID cards. Also, has anyone been successful in being reimbursed from Tricare? We were told that our premiums from Blue Cross would be reimbursed to us up to 7 years. Is this true?

I know it sounds silly, but we just keep reading and rereading that letter. It does not seem real. Knowing the entire time you were owed something you earned and deserved. Its just huge. Is there a site or anything that we can actually go to or a contact person that can give us facts on the next steps?

I don’t see it on my portal, is it under the reserve/retiree/veteran record? I don’t see soldiers data.

Yes. Upper right page. It says date of birth, current org, grade, date of rank. Under current it says TDRL.

I saw it, mine stills states archived record. I give it a week since I'm a week or so behind you. Mr. Al from HRC was working on my packet when I call Friday and he said that I should my everything by the end of the month.

ShadowStalker thank you!!! My husband called earlier and Mr. Al was wonderful. He's been sitting on his stuff waiting on HRC to get off their rear's and send over his old 214 so he can create his packet and do his 215 for correction. Hubby was able to send it right over and now we just have to wait on the packet and HRC to cut orders and do its thing.

We are go grateful for this group. Who knows how much longer this would have played out had we not gotten that tip from you. He's had the packet for a month now just sitting in limbo. one step closer to closing this chapter.

I'm reading this post and it sounds similar to what I'm going through, but I'm not retired. I was discharged back in Dec 2015 due to Non-Promotion to Captain. The reason I wasn't promoted was due to my degree not being iPermed. I had to go through ARBA in order to (try) to get re-enlisted. I received that white envelope back in Aug 2017 and they said they agree that my discharge was inaccurate and recommended full re-enlistment. I called HRC today (Mr. Widmer) and he stated that my package is with Sec Def. He also stated that MANY packages came back today but mines wasn't one of them. I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum, but my question is what are the next steps in my claim process after Sec Def receives it?

Again, I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum, but this sounds very familiar.

I don’t think this the right forum.

So once you receive your orders are you automatically put in DEERS so you can get your ID cards?

Congrats also!

Once you get your orders, you would be able to go to the nearest ID card issuer and get your ID and enroll in tricare. You won’t be automatically put into deers.

Oh ok.. I thought you had to be in DEERS before you could get issued an ID?

You are welcome. Happy to hear that they let you send them his dd214 to get the ball rolling. I hope everything runs smoothly for him.

@ShadowStalker Just check my portal and it starts Permanent Disability Retired List. :) Let me know when you recieved your orders. You are my timeline. :)
My HRC portal shows correction to my DD214. I haven't received anything yet in the mail but will keep you posted. Hopefully not too much longer.

@ShadowStalker were you able to check now? I am not able to get in. Tried to get access on my laptop, iPad, and mobile. :( I think they are doing maintenance on the site. I going to have to check on Monday. URRGH!!! Your packet should be in your hands sometime next week.
