Hello all. Has anyone ever medboarded out of JBLM? I am having trouble finding out a timeline for hitting the transproc list. I signed the 199 with my peblo on 1/31/19 and today is 3/26/19 almost 2 month later and I have not hit the transproc list. She keeps telling me every 2 weeks that in two weeks i'll hit the transproc list. I have even gone to jag over this and they said they know as much as I do about the issue.
WTF. I'm 2 days from going awol i'm soooo pissed.

That timeline is insane. I thankfully signed my 199 and a day or two later I received an e-mail from my PEBLO about hitting the TRANSPROC list. That same day I received an e-mail with subject line: "Medical Retirement" from personnel that work for Transition Services. I am stationed at JBSA.

If you still cannot get a clear and concise answer from your PEBLO about hitting the TRANSPROC list, I would see if you could get ahold of or walk into JBLM's Transition Services Center and see if you can get some answers.

I'm sorry they're keeping you in the dark about all of this. Hope you get some answers real soon.

Swing by the WTU and ask to speak to an OMBUDSMAN there. You're way beyond DOD standards for that phase, and they OMBUDSMAN should be able to track down why. That phase is supposed to happen within 10 days.

I would think that the ombudsman can only help with issues in regards to your command not treating you fairly which my command is. However, it is the people at HRC that control the transproc that are conducting a board review to take a deeper look into my 199. Why? No one really knows was what a different peblo told me. He told me that sometimes they just want to scrutinize the 199 if something on it was misworded or too short or not explained in full detail. After being told every 2 weeks since 1/31 I would get an email when I hit the transproc list, I have moved myself 1.2 hours away. Transition services told me to talk to my peblo. Going on week 9 of signing my 199 with no answers and no time frame in sight.

That's the OMBUDSMAN mission, but as a result of their contracts they can sometimes solve problems like this. They can't help much with the VA but within the Army / DOD they can work wonders. I've had no issues with my unit, but my ombudsman has been amazing at helping cut red tape and get me updates when my PEBLO could not. At the very least the conversation can't hurt, and you clearly have the time lol

Contact the OMBUDSMAN, Mr. Cross. He will figure your issue out for you. He's been helping me in many different ways with my MEB/PEB process. He is very kind and helpful. If you need his contact info., send me a PM!

I'd definitely contact an ombudsman. That is insane. I hit the transpoc list in 2 days

Here at JBLM many of us is having issues with our PEBLOs not providing us accurate information. I contacted the OMBUDSMAN and they provided excellent service to me. I’m currently waiting on my VA Ratings for 26 days.

I was at JBLM about a month ago. Maybe there's a backlog?

Who is your PEBLO? I am also having difficulty communicating with my PEBLO about my MEB process at JBLM.

My PEBLO last name starts with a J. It sucks because this VA Rating step is what extends our process for so long. They say theirs a backlog and I won’t know anything for 2-3 months.

It seems we are all having the same problems. Getting in contact with anyone in the IDES building is close to Rocket Surgery. Sorry to hear you are having these issues. Have you spoken with your Nurse Case Manager?

I think this question has been answered but personally I got lucky i hit the transproc list with in 24 hours of signing my ratings. I feel it's different for everyone. There's a lot of variables.
