Trying to get an idea of how long I'm looking at based on where I'm at in the process. I was referred to IDES in the beginning of October and it seems to be going very fast compared to everyone else on here. I just completed the last of my C&P exams on Monday so roughly 40 days since referral. It seems like the biggest delay for everyone on here were the C&P exams due to COVID. How many days am I looking at until I'm clearing/signing out on terminal since the exams are out of the way?

With the holidays coming should I expect any delays and if so, would it be the Army or the VA?

Also, what are the different appeals/extensions that can be requested and how much time does each add? Not having much luck with my PEBLO explaining things...

I’m in the same boat with you. Started Ides in late September, finished my last QTC a week ago, now waiting on direction.

Yes the holiday will cause a delay. It is a military tradition to have long breaks during the holidays. Timelines vary widely.

COVID has certainly messed things up for everyone. I started the process in May, all my QTC exams finished on 15 Oct now just waiting. Have not heard a word from my PEBLO or MSC. Guess they are working from "home" getting a free paycheck. Now with holidays coming and everyone on 1/2 day schedule who knows.

Most definitely @gspkak! I started be the IDES process back in September. 30Sept20 to be exact and recently finished my QTC exams on 13Nov. I've dialed into QTC a few times due to my need to make sure their isn't anything being left behind and they were, as of yesterday, still waiting on my last exam to go over to their QA. Their rep says they have 7-10 days to have the reports in. From there, they could send it over to the VA. Every day this process seems like a cat and mouse chase. It doesn't really help much in trying to make a transition into the civilian world.

I assumed as much. Just wasn't sure whether it would be as bad as line units are in regards to productivity during the holidays.

I've contacted my PEBLO and while she is responsive, she also seems very brief and never gets into details so I feel a little anxious over timelines and the processes. It shouldn't feel rushed as if they have something better to do than their jobs.

Your lucky the PEBLO answers the phone, my PEBLO has yet to answer the phone when I call and rarely answers my emails. The process definitely has its' faults.

My ratings came back in November it was after the first of year before I sat down with personnelist to set a last day on duty, last day in the service.

I finished my last exam Oct 27th. I am still waiting on my general exam to come back from the provider because QTC needed clarification on something. I called qtc last week and spoke with an MSA( I think thats what they are called ) and he put a request in to expedite the general exam claim. They are really slow about everything right now. I just wish they would hurry up with getting my claims to the VA.

As of 21Nov20 they sent my exams back to the VA. I personally called everyday. I know I can be a tad annoying but I was able to get results that way. Seemingly they noted every time I called and started dropping the hammer to the pedal. I was courteous but adamant. But hey, it’s not just me trying to move the course of things along, I have a family I have to set up as well.

What do you ask when you call? I just finished my last exam today so I’ll give them a few days before I start calling.

I would probably wait a bit longer than a few days or you'll end up frustrated. I completed all my exams more than two weeks ago and QTC still hasn't received my General Exam report from the provider. Then they QA/QC everything before they send it to the VA. My assumption is that it won't get to the VA before Xmas and if it does, they'll just sit on it until January. But when you do call it can be something as simple as asking for an update and case status. They will usually be a little more expedient when the Soldier is consistently "bugging" them.

Well when I called I mainly just ask for a status update, or “have you guys released my exams back to the VA?” They had everything wrote up within a week maybe two of my last exam and sent over.

Just finished my last qtc exam on nov 29th, still haven’t got Anything sense then, I started the MEB process in February of 2020 and can’t believe people who started after me finished way before me . Can someone explain this? Why it takes some people longer than others?

You and me both, I started the process in mid-January and I've been stuck on the PEB since October 1st. Maybe it's our duty stations?

What number are you guys calling for QTC. I had my general physical on the 23rd of last month and still nothing. I did have my audio and mental health back though.
