submitted to IPEB

I have browsed different threads for quite some time, but cannot seem to understand process for OCONUS.
I have reviewed timelines such as conduct MEB VA then PEB VA etc...

I was told that i will be submitted for MEB board months ago, finally I had a sit down with PEBLO and she stated that I have been submitted for PEB. I signed all the paperwork and was told if warranted I a will be sent back to the states.

My questions are:

Is it correct to go straight to PEB?
If found warranted; is the entire PEB done again CONUS?
Being overseas, i am not even prepared to transition out of service. I am confused none of timelines refer to OCONUS.

No this doesn't sound right but your PEB is handled through conus for both the DOD and the VA for claims in IDES. I was oconus and it was processed rather quickly relocating back home was difficult but I sold 60 days leave and the army paid a big lump sum and coordinated for me to get back home so it was more than adequate.

An MEB must recommend unfit to the IPEB. You don't skip the MEB process. In some cases the MEB is a non brainer, but you still don't skip the process. It sounds like @oddpedestrian has the OCONUS experience in common with you.

When going through an MEB/PEB process, it may be wise to develop several plans.
