If you get an attorney after you receive your IPEB, it will speed up the process by bypassing legal review. If you wait till your out for VA then you will have to wait for benefits, if you do the Benefits Before Discharge then you can get your VA payments the day you separate and it’s backdated

Once your orders hit the board your SPO would be able to request the waiver. But having 120 days really helps get your VA stuff done before you get out of the Coast Guard

Well, got my orders for retirement 9Jun2021. Start terminal next week. It was a little less than a month after getting a JAG and re-signing my 4808. Thanks everyone for your help

Just called PSC Med, she looked it up for me and I am 6th in line for legal review. There are 23 cases remaining in legal review so I hope in the next week or two

I am confused because the Ombudsman from the end board sent me an email Monday saying it is in legal review? Is this not correct and she has bad information?

The Ombudsman discusses the results, at that time she will email an election of counsel form you can request a JAG. I am 100 percent so I waived counsel and accepted the results

Yes you can have the command request expedited final approval, if they don’t waive the actually MEN or anything like that

I have Ulcerative Colitis and Anemia, and bleeding of the Colon. I will for certain, my command has been the same, but the command endorsement is attached to the package.

Nothing so far, I reported to my new PCS billet, the package was sent on 21MAY20. They anticipate a month or two to have it forwarded to the IPEB. The CO endorsement concurred with the Medical Officer, I am not fit for retention.....

So new update, I received PCS orders/AD Assign to a desk job. I think everything is moving quicker than I expected. I don't think retention is in my future, and I am pretty positive they are going to make me retire. Started this April 4th and have board has been submitted and I have been removed...

So complete package was submitted to PSC today, so since 5th of April my board has been completed and submitted, awaiting assignment to IPEB
