TDRL to PDRL after first re-evaluation

I was originally TDRL'ed in 2010 for MS and given a 40% rating for bladder issues. My TDRL re-evaluation was 29 months after my original retirement so they were a little behind with the re-evaluation. Time from re-evaluation to findings was about 4-5 weeks. When I went to my re-eval I took a...

So I went to Andrews for my TDRL re-evaluation today. I first checked in with the MEB section and they stamped my orders and sent me off to neurology. Retirement Transition Questions

Thanks for the quick response! No, I was put on Incapacitation Pay while going through my MEB/PEB. As far as TRICARE goes, you say it doesn't matter if you have a military base near you? My closest base with healthcare is a small Army post about 45 miles from my house. You would still recommend...

    Retirement Transition Questions

I am retiring on Aug. 25th and have not received any transition help. I am at a National Guard base so we don't have a transition office to answer these questions. 1. Will Tricare automatically start if DEERS is correct? Is there paperwork needed? I am not near a military installation, so I...

    Army MEB help

Once a Reservist is referred to a MEB/IPEB they fall under AD rules. I am a Guardsman with under eight years of AD total but when I was given a MEB/IPEB, I now fall under AD rules. If my PEB results come back 30% or greater, I will be retired immediately and start recieving a retirement check...

    Army MEB help

The eight years that you speak of for Guard and Reservists has to do with pre-existing conditions.

    Army MEB help

Eight years has nothing to do with it. If you are MEB'ed (Guard/Reserve/AD), and recieve a 30% rating or more, you will receive a medical retirement with tri-care for your family.

    JASON-Can you help me!

I just heard from my PEBLO and he entered me into the new DES Pilot program for the WashDC area. I live about 80 miles from DC and the program is designed for people within 50 miles, so they made an exception for me. For those of you that do not know about it, it will give me my Air Force and VA...

    JASON-Can you help me!

I talked to my PEBLO for the first time today at Andrews. He said that he has never seen a guardsman receive anything other than severance or a guard retirement at 60. I don't fall into either category because my ailment is rated at 30% and I don't have the 20 years to receive the guard...

    JASON-Can you help me!

Thanks for all the answers Jason! I never did receive an extension of orders. The diagnosis was made during a 10 day set of title 32 medical orders. The NGB said that since the diagnosis was determined during a set of orders less than 30 days they would not put me back on orders. I have one last...
