Is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome ratable?

Thanks for the info. It's more the exercise intolerance / cycles of crushing fatigue that gets me with POTS.

Is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome ratable?

Do you know off hand where in the vasrd is it (or under what condition is it counted as)?

Is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome ratable?

My sinus tachycardia was apparently not ratable. I had a tilt table test today and believe I met the criteria for POTS (heart rate went from 90s to 120s and became light headed) although the tech would only say a physician would make the determination. I've seen people here rated for sinus...

Just received my ratings (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Migraines/Depression/hypothyroidism)

PEBLO just messaged me letting me know I got 60% DoD 90% VA. While I'm far from upset, I'm oddly not happy either. Kind of just making everything sink in on how messed up I am now, and I was just reflecting on the fact that no one would hire someone that's gimped most days of the week before I...

    8 Yr rule?

DEP isn't anything yet alone active duty military; it's just a way to keep track of you while they hope you really join. You're active duty after you swear in the day you're sent to basic. I'm not the one to ask, but I suspect you won't find such a regulation. Just as you won't find one that...

    Where did/will you retire?

My current plan is to stay in Maryland, which is where I'm currently stationed. I'm kind of stupidly holding out on the hope I'll be able to hold a job when I get out. The only other place that interests me is Washington state, but that's mostly because I like the weather that's common there...

    When can we PCS

You receive orders a few weeks/months after accepting ratings correct?

    When can we PCS

I'm in the process of being med boarded. Been found unfitting and a couple of months into waiting for initial ratings. I'm just wondering when I'll be able to do my final PCS. I'm actually staying semi-close (within 50 miles probably), but I want to use it to break my lease (I made a really...

When do you get Terminal Leave paperwork?

I'm not sure if this is related enough to stick in here, but when can we arrange our final PCS? Does it matter if I'm not leaving the state for it?

    WHY!!!

When the moment comes that you want actually want it to take longer. That is when it'll be done.

I just got word that I was found unfitting. Aparently, it got updated in the database the day after I first asked O.o so it actually happened on the 16th.

    Walmart and Veterans

Yea, it's tough to get tone across with text and whatnot, and I get lazy with trying too. I didn't take it as unappreciative; I just wanted to explain why I ended up saying it to begin with.

Maybe I should start a new thread for this, but what does it mean when fitness determination is taking a long time (assuming a week is normal)? It's been a little over a month now. I just asked my peblo if it came in and she confirmed it hadn't.

    Walmart and Veterans

I meant in person. Your original post only talks about wanting to feel productive, and nothing about further income for your family. I don't take "feeling productive" as only "providing for family with the sweat of your brow" so there was some confusion between us.

    Walmart and Veterans

I'm personally not big on volunteering, but I suspect you could probably find some causes to contribute to and feel productive without potentially messing with your SSDI. I imagine that kind of productive would feel better than the productive of being a minor cog in the walmart machine.

Failing VA officials collected massive bonuses for years

We're talking about a DECADE (actually 12 years) here. They had time to adjust.

Failing VA officials collected massive bonuses for years

The wars started a decade ago; did they anticipate no one would get hurt?... How much time for training do they need? They should have ramped up to account for the increase in flow failing to do so certainly doesn't warrant bonuses.

Epilepsy & Retention? Please Please Help...

No matter how tight the budget gets the Air Force still needs to correct imbalances in manning. It probably still reduces his chances, but I couldn't guess how much. On his actual chances with the med board, I have no idea sorry : (
