okay. But remember, you can get a VA rating and it not eligible for CRSC, even if VA rates it.
It's for the reason I ask
What year did you 1st receive your VA rating that CRSC approve?
Example:
10%-tinnitus (Va approve in 1987)- crsc denied it
20% TBI (Va approved in 2020) -crsc denied it
30%- low back pain( VA approved in 2021) - crsc approved it in 2025
In this example- even though tinnitus is approved by VA, since CRSC never approved it as "combat" it's useless
the 30% LOW BACK PAIN- is approved by VA, and was approved by CRSC. So that condition would get BACK PAY back to 2021 because it's still within the 6 year window, since it was approved in 2025.
Let's say THE LOW BACK PAIN, was approve by VA in 2012, but CRSC approved it in 2025. The DFAS would only pay it back to 2019. That would be the 6 year limit.
In this situation, the effective date would still say 2012 by the Army, but they not the ones paying it. It's DFAS and they max it at 6 years.
Hope you understand.
