Good on you for getting everything together to submit a full packet. I would caution that awards (short of for valor) are not likely going to have any real effect on your case.
These board members are aware that the award system is diluted. When I retired, I looked like a North Korean General, and 95% of those awards were for showing up somewhere dangerous. These board members know most awards are fluff.
Focus your argument on the substance of your injuries at the time of discharge and how those could have influenced any misconduct.
