20240513 My SNCOIC told me to begin checking out. I called the Jeff at the PEB and he said it's "with the VA", I'm assuming this means I was found unfit. I will call to get my MSC's input here soon. Might give WWB a call too.

I'm Navy so I've been keeping an eye on your timeline, you're about a week ahead of me. I called Jeff today and he told me that my case was still being voted on. I have no idea where that means I'm at in this process. Let me know what your MSC and WWB say if you reach out to them.
WWB is 2 weeks out of date for rosters, the VA is just deferring my calls to the MSC, and WWB says my MSC won't help me and only my PEBLO will have answers. Called my PEBLO, his responses are very useless. Looks like Jeff is the only truly useful individual as far as what is where in the process.
Hello, I too have a back problem. I sent my PEB findings up on may 1st. I login to VA.gov and it says that I don't have a claim at all. But when I call them they say that it is in the decision phase. Did anything like this happen with you?Similar issue as you as well as similar timeline. Lumbar spine injury 01Mar22. Light Limited Duty on ship for 68 days with no diagnosis. Flown off ship for MRI which revealed multiple bulging discs in lower back as well as extruded disc at L5/S1. Continued on LLD for 128 days total. Multiple steroid injections, nerve block and Radio Frequency Ablasion which showed no improvement. Severe back pain with Radiculopathy down both legs. Placed on first LIMDU after 128 days LLD. Elected for microdiscectomy on 31Mar23. Surgery went terribly, woke up worse than I went in. Continued to decline after surgery. Placed on second LIMDU. 27Jul23 MRI revealed severe infection in my spine four months post surgery. Completely dissolved L5/S1 disc and infected the bones above and below. Eight week IV treatment for infection through 25Sep23 with hospitalization. Continued to decline, lost all ability to control left foot and left leg atrophy noted. Place on third LIMDU Oct 2023. Elected for L5/S1 spinal fusion and facectectomy on 7Nov23. Woke up feeling the same as before. Still no improvement. Surgeon stated that it looked like the first surgeon drilled into my nerve root bundle in my spine and that was most likely the cause of all my problems. After 500 days LIMDU, Med Board initiated on 11Dec23. Completed all exams by 14Feb24. Received email this morning that my case has finally cleared the MEB portion and is being sent to PEB today. This process has been long and painful as has yours I'm sure. Hopefully we both get some traction soon on our cases and can move on with our lives.

Jeff simply told me that at this point the VA is giving me a proposed rating, and the process is held up with them at the moment. No fitness determination has been made yet. I understand that the VA creates a proposal regardless of the board's fitness determination, but it just seems strange that the case is seemingly up with them but no fitness determination was made.Did you get any update from them if your Unfit?

I wanted to throw this in, my PEB was submitted April 23rd and accepted April 26th. Since then I’ve called the VA 1000 # who reported I was at the decision phase for a few weeks but NOW when I call them, they have said I need to contact my PEBLO for information and different people say the same thing every time I call like they are reading a script…. Which leads me to believe they have my findings/ I have moved from the decision phase but won’t release them until the PEB is done.
I've gotten that response a few times. You can confirm the reality of what's going on by calling again and getting someone that doesn't put you on hold to ask how to handle the situation. If you don't get put on hold they'll likely tell you you're almost done and you'll get a decision letter in the mail.
Honestly, both responses are pretty useless. I don't think it indicates a proposal is being withheld from you.

My PEB was also accepted on 17Apr24. I just hit up my IDES lawyer and she informed me I was found unfit on 07May24. She also indicated the PEB has requested my proposed ratings from the VA. It’s still a waiting game but I’m one step closer. I figured since we were all accepted on 17Apr24, your timelines are the same/similar.
