Question for any legal experts out there. I've been suffering from PTSD for the past 7 years and finally sought out treatment in 2014. Attended both SARP and OASIS back to back after some speed bumps with the UCMJ. My firearms were confiscated by Base Police during a pending investigation and later returned to my command after the investigation was complete. They were no returned to me directly as I was TAD to OASIS. My command now is refusing to place them back into my possession until my PEB is complete or I EAS. My question is can they legally do this? I'll be talking to legal later this week just wanted to get some insight from anyone that perhaps had something similar happen to them.
