Hello, Ron. Can you please calculate my CRSC entitlement? I have been trying to figure it out myself to no avail.

1. My gross retired pay = $6221.00/month
1a. Yes, I did receive a DoD disability rating.
2. My DOD disability retirement % = 80%
3. My active duty equivalent based on retirement orders "Disability Retirement" = 10 years 0 months 13 days (but my PDRL letter says 11.83 "Service for Percent")
4a. My VA compensation % = 100%
4b. My VA compensation = $4098.87/month
4c. My dependents for VA compensation purposes include my spouse and 1 child under age 18.
4d. SMC-48 was found to be combat-related from December 2019 to January 2021
5. My approved CRSC % = 100% from December 2019 to January 2021 and now 90% from February 2021 to present.
6. I don't qualify for any other type of retirement.
7. I did not receive REDUX/CSB.
8. No, I did not accept the Blended Retirement Program.

Thank you so much for your help.

Here are the calculations if years of service are 11.83. (I used 11.75 as to round to the nearest month. You are already are getting close to the max compensation due to having a high DOD% which is way more than your earned longevity. The CRSC ceiling in this case is $314.43. You can't get more than the total of your longevity pension earned + VA compensation. When you have a high DOD% and am an officer your compensation can be much higher with a chapter 61 retirement than your earned pension. Sometimes with NG/Reserve Soldiers their chapter 61 pension can be higher than that combination meaning CRSC has no benefit.

If your longevity is 10 years instead of almost 12 years there is no financial gain as your chapter 61 pension total is higher than the combination of your earned longevity pension + VA compensation amount. See below:
