Hello @Havoc 5812
With regard to CRSC with the following particulars:
TIS: 12 y 4 mo
VA: 100% P&T
Current DOD: 20%
DOD if go to formal board: potentially 40 but more likely 70% or more
Combat related %: approx 50-70, potentially more if their feeling nice that day.
High 3 monthly $ 3,734
Comments:
1. Your retired pay (if DoD is 30% or higher) will use the multiplier that is highest:
--The DoD percentage (unknown at this time)
--The longevity percentage which 12.33 AD years x 2.5% = 30.8% longevity multiplier
2. The higher percentage (multiplier) x average high three base pay = retired pay
3. The retired pay determined at item 2 will be reduced by the amount of your VA compensation. I suspect your retired pay will be reduced to zero.
4. Your CRSC will be the lesser of
a. the CRSC % approved by your service (rates in VA compensation tables)
OR
b. the longevity portion of your retired pay which will be 30.8%
multiplied x average high three (see item 1)
5. You will also receive all your VA compensation.
Ron
