DA 199/official VA ratings

Good morning y’all,

Last month on 15 May my PEBLO called and told me I was found unfit and that the va had been sent my file. On 26 May my claim showed up as closed on the VA app, after some calls I finally was able to find out that I am being proposed at 60% disabled.

I’m tracking that all I need before I get orders is to sign everything (DA 199), but as it’s been almost a month since my claim closed, how much longer should I anticipate on waiting?

Congratulations! I am not sure how long your process will last, but I have been waiting since April 20th for the PEB portion to wrap up in the "writing phase" and anticipating my DA 199 this week. This would be the third consecutive week that my PEBLO has told me that she anticipates my DA 199 in her "work queue."

I just received my DA 199 on Friday. I have a legal review/counseling today, and I expect to concur with everything. 80% DoD / 100% VA for me. Then, I am told to expect an order within "2-3 weeks." Not sure on how the effective date will work out. I am Army Reserve, so no leave, TDY, or anything like that. I have all administrative pieces complete, just need an order.

Nice man, do you remember when your claim closed on va.gov? My PEBLO has been super responsive but as of 2 weeks ago I can’t get in contact with them

My claim closed on va.gov on April 19th, and the results were sent to the PEB on April 20th. My PEB portion took longer because the PEB wanted a "correction" to the ratings as they did not exactly line up with the terminology that the MEB/PEB framed them. The VA never gave a response, and then it finally moved forward. I don't think that happens to everyone.
