Received a couple emails from DFAS, "Status update on retired and annuitant pay submission ASSIGNED" and another "Status update on retired and annuitant pay submission COMPLETE". Called them today and asked if that meant I am showing as eligible for Chapt 61 retirement already? I was retired 1/8/26, so I thought that was pretty fast. The lady said that I am not showing eligible yet. They see my 2656 but they don't see my retirement order. They said that needs to come from my service branch.
Pretty sure that was sent along in my out-processing when I sent in my 2656. I have reached out to my PEBLO to get this fixed, submitted a ticket on MyFSS as well, but am hoping someone here has a better idea of what is going on.
Does my retirement order get submitted to DFAS automatically, or is that something that needs to be done at my request? I just want to get this done so I can submit for CRSC since that is supposed to be about a 7 month process from what I read.
