Do you need extra evidence to request a FPEB?

Good morning,

I recent received my Informal PEB findings and I was found Fit, and I dont think that's the appropriate decision. I want to request a formal hearing, but my PEBLO is saying that I need to provide additional evidence for them to reconsider.

I'm not seeing that on any of the paperwork. It says you have to provide new evidence to have the VA rating reconsidered, but nothing about needing it to contest the findings.

Can anyone offer additional insight on this? I dont want to send him the Election of Options form just to have it kicked back due to a lack of additional evidence.

USMC by the way

I mean your PEBLO is correct unless you are seeing an error in how they weighed the evidence to make the decision just disagreeing will most likely lead to a denial, have you spoken to your MEB counsel?

I suggest you contact the Navy DES Counsel:

Get legal advice from an attorney, not a clerk.
