Ebeneifits States "preparation for decision" does this mean i've been found unfit?

They restarted my MEB and the way they closed my 1st claim was by finding me "Fit For Duty." But Ebenefits says this now for the 1st claim...
"Appeal is Possible, Decision Notification Sent". Hope this helps.

I have had the preparation for decision for over a month, it went back a step once for a few days, then back to the preparation for decision, and it has been about a month, if your in the MEB, it is not going to progress, so I have no clue how long will take now, keep being told any day, NARSUM went up 23MAR12.

Mine has shown Claim Recieved for 2 months. :(

my bad I am at Pending Decision Approval, which it went back to prep for decision, then went back to pending decsion approval, and hasn't moved in about a month, which leads me to believe that should be coming down

Pretty much means the VA has received your packet and have already rated it and sent back, or is in the process of rating currently. Contact your MSC to find out the status if the ratings were done yet or not and if/when they sent it back to the PEB.

called VA just to see what I would get away with being told, no suprises, told what everybody else is told, contact PEBLO or MSC, I was polite so she did confirm it was sent out or back. What is the MCS in relation to me? I could probably figure it out eventually, PEBLO is a waste of time, they don't know much until they are told.

MSC is the the military services coordinator...I think. That is the VA guy or gal you met with when your MEB first get started.

No. It just means that the VA has gathered and reviewed all evidence and a recommendation has been made for rating. From what I have learned, nothing ever makes 100% sense with this process (especially VA/Ebenefits). You are in the rating phase and, once they are complete, will forward the package to the PEB. I called again today and talked to another rep and they stated that the VA conducts their process "stand alone" and forwards the ratings to the PEB even if not requested. This is the third off the cuff answer that I have received from the VA on this topic. I was under the impression that the only time the VA would send the PEB ratings is if a member was found unfit and the PEB requested the ratings. I also got the standard "contactact your MSC" answer at the end of the conversation, so I did, and he said that he isn't privledged to comms/coordination between the VA and the PEB....just sounds like a lot on incompetence and jibberish to me. :climbing off soap box:

Yah not goiNg to waste my time with the mcs he didn't even look up at me the first time, had crap everywhere, only one in the whole division, not his fault, just let it ride, still getting a check either way :)

Now is says "pending decision approval" Does this mean anything?

Means either the VA is rating it or ratings are already done and sent back. ;)

If your Army then yes.
