Does this mean I’ll be found fit and return to service? I haven’t heard back from DOD yet. Or does this mean they ignored all 29 claims I made and I’ll get a zero rating and still med boarded?

For the first part it looks like none of the conditions are service connected. Are you reserve/guard? If so, were you referred to a non duty related IDES? That's strange to not have any service connected.

For second part it just means the VA didn't find you to be 100% Permanent and Totally Disabled. So you didn't reach 100% VA or you did but one or more conditions aren't static meaning it could change. The most common condition for that are mental health. They will typically follow up with you 6 months after you get out and see if your condition is stable or not.

The VA doesn't have anything to do with deciding whether you are found fit or now. That's up to the informal PEB. The VA ratings part is to help you have final ratings when you get out if one or more condition is found to be unfit. If you are found fit by the PEB then all the VA's proposed ratings fall off and don't affect anything. That's why they are proposed ratings. They only finalize if you are found by the PEB to be unfit and get out and become a veteran.

Ahh ok. I am active duty. I was put up for a med board due to refusing back surgery for 2 blown discs and all the other good stuff that comes with the lumbar injury code. My mental health DBQ was marked second to highest block, so that makes sense if it’s a mental health thing. When does one actually see the ratings? Is that viewable online or just mail or does only the PEBLO have access to it? It just closed yesterday

Peblo will give you proposed ratings. Refusing back surgery might hurt you but I understand you may feel differently between the risk vs rewards compared to the docs. That's a hard one.

I wouldn't worry so much about that stuff until you get your proposed ratings. You don't get them until the PEB decides your are unfit. Your PEBLO will give them to you once he has them.

i didn’t necessarily refuse surgery, but I chose not to have it which “exhausted all options of care.” It would make sense looking back at it all now, that they state I have no service connected injuries. The examiner marked all but one of my DBQs as “could not find evidence to support” and “no service connection” which leads me to believe that they did not receive all or the correct records. Medical just recently could not find info on a major wrist surgery that I had due to an injury on deployment. This facility has “lost” my records 3 times. I have all of my records after making an official records request. I suppose this all means I’ll have a big ol’ fat appeal to make.

How long have you been Active Duty? If you have 8 or more years the military will assume its service connected.

13 years. The form you fill out prior to joining shows no medical conditions, so it’s all service related. My career field is heavy construction…so like many others in my AFSC, we have numerous service connected injuries.

You are good on everything being service connected on the military side at the very least:)

Update: I called the VA 1000 number and the claim that closed on my app was the request I made for records the VA received for my MEB. My medical contingencies for the MEB is still in the decision phase. I suppose this explains why the letter pertaining to a records request stated I had no service connected injuries and am not P&T or TDRL. Not sure why I can’t see the other claim for the things I claimed for C&P exams
