Flag level review ?

I got told that I was being adsep CND.
8 years time in service. Diagnosed with PTSD 7 years ago. Been going to therapy more frequently because of PTSD (6 months), sent to mental ward for SI, going to outpatient program for PTSD.

Once I upload the therapist notes to my medical records and they see my hospitalization. Will the flag level review change adsep CND to a medboard so I can be medically retired ?

Asking all this because I was told to upload everything so it can be on my record. But isn’t it too late ? I’m mentally struggling and paperwork and fighting isn’t on my mind. Especially when I don’t know what I’m fighting for? I don’t know what fighting for a medboard will do for me or medical retirement ? Maybe cause I’m just so fragile right now I’m not thinking clearly but just getting the help I need.

Any insight will help. I dont understand the process at all.

1. Seek service provided legal counsel.
2. Ensure all medical information is in your military medical records ASAP.
3. Don't discuss the circumstances that led to your ADSEP with anyone except your legal counsel or chaplain.

Best wishes

Not even with my command ? I told my command that I was being CND adsep and they are pissed that medical isn’t acknowledging my PTSD diagnosis.

If command is on your side keep them in the loop. Most times command is the one trying to adsep you lol. So in your case keep them in the loop. Maybe your commander can write a letter advocating for you. Not sure who I have sent attorney references but might want to reach out to private counsel that deals with IDES. They know all the regs inside and out. Its possible that they are not following the rules by trying to adsep you instead of a MEB. I will send you via direct message a list of vetted attorneys. I am a big proponent of hiring dedicated private representation as I believe it gives you the best shot of achieving your goals!

Someone had sent me a link before and I called the places and no one answered or got back to me, so I just went to my DSO.

IDES is very specialized. Leave a message for them and if you don't hear back in 24 hours follow up. In demand attorneys that are dedicated to IDES clients usually are solo practices and they are very busy working on cases. Once each of their clients gets to a step where an appeal is availabe they have only 6 days to submit an appeal for their client unless its the FPEB. Those tend to be scheduled out much longer. So I would talk to JAG and keep trying to interview some private ones to get a feel for your circumstances, finances and what is best in your situation.
