Formal Board Question

Since they did halt the formal boards indefinitely for right now, if someone were to get their ratings back last week and wants to decline the ratings and do a formal board... are they still allowed? Even though they aren't taking on new cases right now?

They will still be allowed, you will just have to wait till they open things up again. Is it just the percentages that you disagree with? If so then that can be handled through a VAR.

Yes the percentages. Va one is great but the dod is 20%. Wanting 30%

What branch of service?

If you have received your ratings and disagree with a percentage, you ask your PEBLO to help you file a VARR (VA Rating Reconsideration). Percentages are controlled by the VA. DoD must use VA percentages.

Alsokeep in mind you can only do a VARR on a referred condition. The additional ones that got added When you saw the VA docs are not eligible for this yet, although you can address this post separation.

Can you do that or anything for the DOD rating? Or is the only way to do a formal board

As mentioned above the DOD must use the VA ratings. Did you determine if your unfitting condition can get moved to 30 or not?
