My process got started in June 2021. My file got sent to DC in mid August. I was extended to November 20th. So I should probably expect to get extended another 6 months?

There are currently 5200 cases at the PEB as of last week. Strap in and get ready for a little bit of a wait.

Jesus. 5200?!? I swear it was only 3500 last month. That just goes to show how few cases are getting signed by the PEB each week.

That’s what the excel tracker my peblo showed me said. It also annoys me that mine has been with the med officer for over 131 days now and I haven’t received an effing unfit determination

I take information I’ve heard from here and repeat it to my PEBLO. She always acts so surprised and then agrees with it. I’m 30 days behind you with the medical officer. So using the PEB math formula I invented that means I should have about 85 days to go

Wait you’re saying it should take 185 days with the medical officer?

I'm at 158 days with the PEB and today my PEBLO said he'd be surprised if I receive findings before early November. Math for Marines tells me that my retirement date would be around 28 Feb 2022 if I receive findings the first half of November. One can only hope

Yay so I’m probably right there with you. It’s aggravating because In the FB group I’ve seen multiple people from middle of May get their findings. Yet I was submitted to the PEB at 0800 on May 3 and haven’t heard anything. It makes zero sense. I don’t have mental health conditions as referred conditions either but they are on my VA paperwork.

Hah honestly? I hope not but who knows anymore. The PEB is taking longer and longer to process cases. My case was submitted on June 2nd, and I just hope I’ll have an answer before the new year, but’s it’s really starting to feel unlikely.

You are right about it taking longer and longer now. I remember when 120 days was the average.

I think the date our cases were sent to the PEB isn't the best metric to go by because some cases take longer than others to get screened for completeness before ending up in the medical officer queue. I'm not sure how long my case has been in the medical officer queue but I imagine it's maybe a 20 or 30 day difference from when it was sent to the PEB based on other posts I've seen.

Sad thing is, we have no other metric to go off. They're "supposed to" work them as they get them. Only other thing would be when it was accepted by PEB.
Yea that’s my biggest issue. If they received mine first how are people 2 weeks after me getting theirs before me? It doesn’t make sense. I feel really bad for the people still waiting from April.

Yeah, definitely hard to understand when or if the first in first out process begins when you see older cases still waiting while newer cases get findings. PEB is all jacked up

Our cases were submitted the same day--do you have any idea when yours made it to the medical officer? Apparently mine has been with the medical officer since July 9th (104 days now).
