MEB and Unit Status

Probably a rare situation but I am curious if anyone has run into this or if there is a regulation I can reference:

When the MEB process begins; is the soldier considered "active" in their current billet? Or is their status on "pause"? Are they flagged in any way?


For example a soldier has to fill a specific billet in their unit in order to accrue skill badge upgrade time.
While going through an MEB, does that badge time accrue?

Unless you get moved to another job/billet, then yes. You should still accrue time for badges, at least on the Army side.
