This is good stuff. Thank you. This helped out alot because I really didn't know most of these. Awesome keep the info coming.

One of those things said that if I am not working in may MOS/Rating (cause I am Navy) I can applied for SSDI? Is that really a good idea for me since I really am not all that disabled I just can't do my job.

Absolutely, I will be back paid to May 2011 when my P3 kicked in. Since that profile kicked in, I was unable to do my MOS. The only thing I could do was share my knowledge and attempt to try being an NCO and train the Soldiesr how I was able to. I still worked, but did not do much, if anything with my MOS other than train others.

Hmm that's interesting.. I am an Electronics Technician in the Navy but now I am the LPO of a Helpdesk. So basically all I do is admin work. I haven't done any ET work since I left my ship in January..

Just read up on the SSDI posts, lots of useful info put out in the last few months.

Ok so it takes about four weeks. does it go to the VA. and that is where i get my DA form 199.

You posted in the wrong discussion, but I remember your other discussion... Since you just got the unfit, I would say 4 months till you get the DA 199 written and be counseled on it by a PEBLO. Then after that figure 115 days left in the Army if you have no qualms with the ratings. Sooner if your not taking leave...

Ok Thank you very much I will try to stay in contact. If I have any more questions.

who actually writes the Narsum, VA odctor or Army doctor?

NARSUM is written by an army MD, PA-C, or NP, but they use info from the VA's Comp. and Pen. exam for most of the specifics.

Exactly as eagleone said, the MEB doc writes up the story-board of the claims to include everything from the C&P exams to the DoD treatments and appointments. Once that is written up the MEB tech will assist with the DA3947 write-up and then send it up through the chain for signatures, then you get it to do your thing with it...
