MEB Timeline Fort Bliss (Lower Back)

Hey guys, given that all the information I’m able to find online is super helpful for me I thought I would keep you guys updated with my timeline as well.

P3 Initiated: 10/29/24

Second P3 Signature: 11/06/24

PEBLO Contact: 11/12/24

IDES MEB Brief: 11/14/24

C&P1: 12/03/24

C&P2 and 3: 12/04/24

C&P4: 12/05/24

Final C&P: 12/11/24

12/18/24: VES calls me daily with updates but so far they have 3/5 uploaded to the VA, once they’re all uploaded my MSC will send it to my PEBLO so the Army Doc can write up my NARSUM

A friend who works for the VA just informed me the PEB is backed up at the moment and 2-3 months is a realistic timeline….

02/12/25 PEBLO Just called me, said that he sent an email to the PEB because the expedited memo wasn’t working how it’s supposed to. Anyway they said they’ve marked my case as urgent as of today so hopefully that’ll speed up my fit for duty determination

02/18/25 LONGEST 4 DAY WEEKEND EVER. I was found unfit officially by the IPEB my claims are being rated currently. MSC says 1-3 weeks we should be good. After that just have to get that DA199 and I’m going home!

03/03/25: VA Proposed Ratings are in, now waiting for the IPEB to make my DOD side of the ratings so I can get my DA199

How come you changed your NLT to April? If you don’t mind me asking. Waiting for my PEB findings and I can’t sit still

As someone once told me, and it didn’t help but is very true. Once you get your PEB findings the process moves very quickly. Don’t worry you’re almost done. As for my NLT date. I got above the 30% DOD side so according to AR600-25-8 you’re entitled to 20 days PTDY and I had 9 days terminal leave so. I start terminal 03/27. 04/24 is when my terminal leave ends and i will be an official veteran 04/25
 
Got it. How long did it take to clear post and if I have 60 days of leave, will I still be entitled to 20 days PTDY?

If you’re rated 30% or above DOD side, yes. Anyone who wants to argue that can look at the regulation. Clearing took me 3 days. If you can do go to your retirement brief I would try to do it now, as you HAVE to do it to clear, and they’re only held once a month. Look up Fort Bliss (Asthma) on here. The guy explained how he cleared in 3 days. The lady at transitions also gave me with my clearing papers address’ of everywhere you need to clear. I also had gotten an early CIF turn in memo and had that squared away before I started clearing, that helped. Good luck though
