I was just put to a Code 37 and I have an appointment with my PCM to sign my papers after that happens does anyone have an idea of how long this process takes? I am going blind and am virtually useless at this point in any job that requires eyesight.

Be prepared for 1-2 years. Depends on a lot. Complexity of case and so on. Good luck!

lol thats not good, I'm hoping for a quick one the doctor said its a pretty simple case that can't be argued against since I have already been to a few different specialists and they have all said that there is nothing that can be done to correct my vision. Between that and the fact I have already seen the best doctors in the country for it, maybe it wont be 2 years.

From start to finish (retirement date), my case will have taken about a year, and certain portions of the process moved a lot faster for me than for some of the others here, and I had no rebuttals or appeals anywhere in my process. Like Snacks said, 1-2 is the norm, so hope for 1...but prepare for 2. Obviously, this is a guesstimate, but based upon reading others experiences. Good luck, hang in there,

Me and aviator are on the same track. I'm awaiting on my Grade determination and then my Seperation date. I started my MEB in Mar and was hurt a year before that so about 2 years total for me.

I had my first MEB in early 2011 and was fast tracked and found fit (mostly because the AF wanted to keep me flying and "modified" my diagnosis). Second MEB was initiated in January 2012 because my conditions had worsened beyond being able to ignore it anymore. I hope you hear something soon firedawg...things sure go fast once you are upon your orders.

Just posted my timeline from Holloman AFB. I went through IDES, Signed my paperwork to start the process on 30 Mar 12 and just signed for my rating yesterday. So, 208 days from start to ratings. I'll update further when I get orders and such. Good luck!
