Medboard Timeline (Walter Reed)

Update: Literally just called MMSR-4 and they let me know I called as my case was on their screen. New EAS will post on Sunday for July 30th.

Does anybody know if there is a number to contact for the Navy at Walter Reed or at least know who's in charge of drafting the NARSUM for the Navy at Walter Reed? I've already spoken to the VA and they seem ready to give me my proposed ratings but of course have to wait for the NARSUM to be drafted and FIT/UNFIT status to be given. My PEBLO just keeps saying "We're still waiting for the NARSUM to be drafted"

When you're able to I would check on LIMDU Smart to see where your case is at. If your claim has closed on the tracker you should be within the PEB, which the PoC is Jeff.

Ohh okay, also how do you check LIMDU Smart ? Is that a website to track your PEB status ?
No. LIMDU Smart is used for tracking the MEB side, you can use it to verify what has happened on the MEB side of the house.

On a govt computer go to edq.med.navy.mil/LIMDU

So, after asking my MSC if the Navy is nortoriously slow at drafting the NARSUM she told me that it's not that they're slow but rather when going through the IDES process with Walter Reed that the DOD drafts up a NARSUM that includes all of your claimed conditions not just your med board referring condition. Does anybody know if this is true or is she just blowing smoke to keep me on ice while I continue to wait for the NARSUM to be produced? Anybody else have a super long wait for their NARSUM to be produced? One of my homies that was entered into a medboard in the Army based out of Fort Belvioir at the same time I was had even more conditions claimed than me and he had his exams completed, the PEB board convened, and he was determined unfit all within the last 30 days which I thought was crazy fast....I know different branches have different timelines for their PEB's but I'm just trying to manage my expectations for my board. Also, I had like 25 conditions I claimed just FYI

Yes, it shows all of your claimed conditions. I waited about 6 weeks for my NARSUM to come back after my PEBLO sent it to PEB.

Ok, so 6 weeks total for your NARSUM? That’s not bad, when was that if you don’t mind me asking?

Posting my timeline as well for people who may be on a similar trajectory. I am going through IDES with Walter Reed as my MTF:

MEB/LIMDU Referral 26MAR2024
DES Referral 23APR2024
PEBLO Assigned 23APR2024
MSC Initial Meeting 01MAY2024
MSC VA Claims Sent 01MAY2024
Legal Council Brief 02MAY2024
First VA C&P Exam 10MAY2024
Last VA C&P Exam 15MAY2024
PEBLO Received VA Exams 16JUN2024
PEBLO pushed paperwork up for MEB review 21JUN2024
PEBLO Receives NARSUM Pending

My PEBLO gave me a timeline of 3-4 weeks for my NARSUM to come back as they have a bit of a backlog right now at the MTF.

No that totally understandable and expected to be honest. I heard that Walter Reed was backed up. Let's hope yours doesn't take too long either. 3-4 weeks doesn't sound horrible for the NARSUM if you ask me. I contacted the VA and they already informed me that I'm good to go for their side they're just waiting on the NARSUM and the rating from the DOD. Thanks for posting your timeline it definitely helps

My Narsum was sent April 22,2024, and I actually just got my findings today ! Just wanting on that retirement date now !

Thank you & No, 80% & 90% VA which I’m totally fine with but I’m definitely gonna see if I can try to get to that 100
*80% DOD, & I’m not gonna submit the claims till I’m out cause I’m not willing to go through the appeal cause that could take another 3-6 months and I’m ready to just be out already tbh
