Medical retirement cancelled, returned from terminal lv, pending an investigation, I need help

I have been on terminal lv since 8 Apr 2016, awaiting my medical retirement date of 28 Apr 2016. I spanked my child once, with an open hand, on the bottom while on terminal lv, after my children were fighting and threw a toy in my living room. My child's pinky got hurt, took my child to the er and doc claimed there was a less than hairline fracture but doctor and I couldn't see anything. I took my child to the follow-up 7-10 days later, where another xray was taken. Different doctor this time, stated that my child's finger was never broken. In between the 7-10 days timeframe, Child Protective Services was notified. I enacted my rights and declined an in home interview and any conversation with my children. On 19 Apr 2016, my 1st Sgt contacted me, stating that my terminal lv has been cancelled and medical retirement date is postponed until further notice. As of right now there is only and allegation of article 128, assault against a minor under the age of 16. My wife was a witness and agreed with the spanking. How long can I be held? My disability for being Med Boarded is mental health issues. This whole thing has blown up and my mental health is all messed up. I need help, advice. What can I do aside from contacting the ADC and hiring an attorney?

In a situation like this, I recommend to not talk to anyone and go see trial defense services ASAP.

If you are not comfortable with TDS, hire a civilian attorney to protect your rights.

I agree with @gsfowler, I would not talk to anyone except a chaplain (for your distress) and defense counsel (for the legal issue).
