A couple questions that relate to being an Army National Guardsman and going through the MEB process:
Is there a regulation that governs the ability of a command team to deny a soldier from attending medical appointments or otherwise working on MEB requirements during drill time?
If so, what is that regulation?
Would Annual Training (full time Active duty for 20+ days) be an appropriate time to suggest that the soldier fulfill as many of the administrative MEB requirements as possible?
The questions stem from an awareness that the MEB process is one that takes time. It is generally understood that some tasks will need to be done "on your own time" in order to meet deadlines. It is also a personal belief that a soldier's time is valuable and that gathering the evidence, going to required appointments, and all other matters concerning the ARMY MEB process should be accomplished as much as possible during ARMY time. If I got broken on their time; the time needed to fix that should also be on their time.
There are some higher opinions that drill time isn't necessarily the time to be dealing with MEB related activities; I'd be interested to know if a dissenting opinion is appropriate.
