I am new to this forum & finally going to try & get some advice after reading through this for awhile. You all have great advise!!
I am in the Army National Guard - have been in for 36 years. Im a CW4 with an administrative job. I just got my first VA Claim decision letter & it came back 90% service connected.
PTSD - 70%
Fibromyalgia - 40%
Migraines - 30%
Tinnitus - 10%
I have a PHA coming up & was told I have to report my Total VA Disabilty % & what all the findings were, but not each % for each finding. My questions are below:
- Is it true I only give Total % for all disabilities at PHA?
- I take no medication for any of my disabilities above - going through a PHA in a month, Can they still or will they process me through MEB/PEB for being unfit & most likely medical retire me?
- what would be your advice going forward - roll with the PHA hoping they keep me in or be proactive & accept that I will probably be medically out & be proactive in planning what I need to do to best benefit my family & I?
- if prepare for medical retirement - advise of some things I should do before this all starts?
Thanks ahead for any words of wisdom & there is more (always are), but I thought I would start with this as it’s a definite thing that is happening!!
THANKS AGAIN!!
