Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP)

Anyone in the Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, or Norfolk area currently in the PEB phase. I was found unfit 23OCT24 and trying to gauge a timeline for the VA to send my findings. Been seeing 60-85 day turnaround from other branches and locations here on this forum. Please share or drop some knowledge/timelines if willing. Thanks.

The 8 years only applies if you are being medically separated. If you are PDRL or TDRL then you could have served 90 days and still get to pick HOS

Do you know if you can ship a POV when being medically retired? Been looking all over the place and can’t find much.

My understanding is you may be authorized to the shipment of ONE POV. Everything I could find just says your orders must state this, but I can't find specifics on eligibility. I know one of my friends who got out was able to ship his. I would try calling your local HHG to see if they better info

Anyone have any luck getting their retirement packages submitted, and orders produced? Hoping for a quick turnaround! Anyone have any idea on the last phase of how long it takes to get your DD 214 made up and sent to commands?

I thought you already got your orders?

Gotcha. My retirement package was put into Sales Force Thursday afternoon. No orders yet. Will update here when orders come in. Did yours show on NSIPS right away? Going on terminal today so I’ll be checking from home for orders.
Orders showed up date after my package was submitted. Congrats!

I noticed the message goes to the processing center in Norfolk as well, so they probably start working on your stuff as soon as the message comes across, then the salesforce package allows them to finalize it. Congratulations! Just waiting for my message now.

Been a month since signing findings and still no message, PERS is saying they don’t have my index.

Anyone else have to wait this long?

I'd call your PEBLO or Jeff at this point. The index should have been sent over.

I know I’ve only barely contributed to this thread but I finally received my preliminary findings today! (Found unfit and case sent to the VA in September)
