Brief rundown of my timeline:

18 Oct 2024 - IRILO initiated, CIS submitted
25 Nov 2024 - Paperwork goes up to AFPC for review
31 Dec 2024 - Told by PEBLO a full MEB has been initiated
Jan 2025 - Briefing with PEBLO/VA rep & complete all C&P exams
Feb 2025 - Radio silence from PEBLO (expected)
4 Mar 2025 - Receive email from PEBLO stating I should be contacted to review, sign, and submit package for final disposition any day now.
22 Apr 2025 - I still have not been contacted to submit anything. The C&P exams have been with the VA rep for nearly two months and nothing has been done, to my knowledge, with the exams based off emails I've had with the VA rep.

Is what I'm experiencing normal? I understand this is a lengthy process but the lack of information I have been getting from both the PEBLO office and VA rep has me a bit concerned.

Thanks for any and all input.

After completing your C&P exams, at some point your PEBLO should have had you in the office to go over some/all of your C&P findings and sign your form 618.
After signing the 618 (Medical Board Report), your PEBLO will send your complete package up to AFPC to start the PEB phase.
AFPC/IPEB will then forward the final disposition back to your PEBLO on form 1180 (can take anywhere from a couple days to a couple months).

Now if you're saying your PEBLO hasn't even gotten your VA C&P exam DBQs yet, then I recommend reaching out to the contract company (QTC, Optum, VES) that did your exams and get an update.

I completed all my C&P exams through VES in Jan, heard nothing from PEBLO in Feb after multiple emails, phone calls, and office visits. I was getting the same “excuse”, if I was lucky enough to get in touch with them, it’s still sitting with VES. I called VES in late Feb and was told they sent my exams to the VA rep for them to do their side of the process. A couple days later the PEBLO office reached out to me saying the VA rep had it and they are finishing up they’re side.

I have not had a sit down to discuss any findings with the PEBLO. VES has already passed off my exams to the VA rep for my VA disability claim.

There are a few things that need to happen before you sign your 618 but they should probably all be done by now. The MSC needs to send the DBQs to your PEBLO, your provider needs to sign a NARSUM addendum, and the MEB needs to meet to issue a final recommendation for the PEB. See if you can find out which of those things are holding you up.

It seems to be held up at the VA rep at the clinic. I've attempted to contact both the PEBLO and VA rep numerous times over the last month and a half via email, phone call, and in person with no luck. They're either out for the day, on leave, or in a meeting. Emails and phone calls go unanswered to the PEBLO office. The VA rep refers me to the PEBLO office when I ask them information and when I ask information directly to them about the medical records being sent by VES to the VA rep to process, I am ignored.

Could there be anyone else I could touch base with? There are only two people working the PEBLO office who I have not have proper contact with since 6 January 25, every other contact since then has been a one way email they've sent me with an update early last month.

EDIT: Just as I hit reply to you, I received an email from the VA rep stating that my claim was "forwarded to Rhode Island Regional Office that do the proposed MEB ratings for the Air Force."

By "VA rep at the clinic" do you mean one of the examiners that did a C&P exam?

The MEB doesn't need proposed ratings to meet though, just the DBQs from the exams... Hopefully that email means that everyone has what they need at this point now. Unfortunately that's kinda how it goes with trying to contact the reps, I've had a hard time getting responses consistently. You can try emailing the "USAF JB San Antonio AFMOA Mailbox AF IDES" org box if you're having issues with your PEBLO. I haven't been able to find any other touchpoints for dealing with the MSCs though.

No, sorry. In the med clinic there is a Veteran Affairs representative who works alongside the PEBLO office.

I’ll be visiting the medical clinic tomorrow for an appointment. I’ll try to go to the PEBLO office again and gather more information, mentioning the DBQs along the way.

Hello,

My PEBLO never meet me for a review before having me sign the 618, so maybe it just depend on the PEBLO....

it took me 2 months from my last C&P to get any update from my PEBLO, which was to sign my 618. My PEBLO doesn't believe in response to my email or phone call unless there is update or forms that need to be sign apparently.
Most of my answered question are from forums.

My VA Rep office doesn't answer email or phone either, but if I walk in person, they will answer my question.

Right now I just work and "hurry up and wait"
